Graduate Student

Grace is a Ph.D. student supervised by Dr. Andrew Lynn. She holds a B.S. in Brain and Behavioral Sciences with minors in Human Development & Family Studies and Biology. Her research interests include early life adversity and protective factors and how these influence child development. Outside the lab, she enjoys playing board games and reading books.

Dilara is a PhD student supervised by Dr. Andrew Lynn. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Cognitive Psychology. Her primary research focuses on how screen use influences children’s attention and executive functions. In the lab, she looks at the neural mechanisms underlying these effects. Outside academia, Dilara enjoys exploring art and hiking.

Research Coordinator

Noah is the lab’s research coordinator. He received his B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. He is interested in how protective and risk factors influence neural development, specifically in minority communities. In his free time he enjoys climbing, hiking, listening to music, and watching & playing sports.

Georgia Chlebek is a junior at the University of Louisville majoring in Psychology with a minor in Interdisciplinary Data Science. She joined the lab to gain research experience and explore careers related to brain development, cognition, and function. Outside the lab, she enjoys studying, listening to music, baking, and spending time with friends.

Dia is a sophomore at UofL pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience. She joined the AND Lab to contribute to research investigating how external factors influence brain development and experience that will support her future goals. Outside the lab, Dia enjoys rock climbing, playing volleyball, and hiking.

Abby is a junior at UofL pursuing a B.S in Biology & Psychology. She joined the lab to gain experience and to learn more about how different paths of development affect learning, with interest in rapid development of attention. Outside of the lab, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and going to the gym.

Fina is a junior at UofL, pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience. She joined the lab to learn more about brain development and gain hands-on experience. After completing her undergraduate studies, she hopes to go to medical school and become a physician. She is also a member of the University of Louisville’s Women’s Soccer Team.

Arturo is a senior at UofL pursuing a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Communication. He joined the lab because of an interest in the way children’s minds work and he wants to understand the differences in attention in kids. He loves to watch movies, read and write fiction, and listen to music while drawing.

She joined the lab because she wanted to gain experience in the field of research and one day work with children as an art therapist. In her free time, she enjoys painting, listening to music, baking, and crocheting.

She hopes that through this lab, she will better form her career and post-graduate aspirations. Outside the lab, she enjoys playing tennis, rock climbing, and playing guitar.
